This Tom and George Fazio-designed golf course gets its “ocean” moniker thanks to the par-3, 238 yard, 16th hole called by many, “the best little par-3 in Puerto Rico” and one of the island’s most exotic and tricky to par.
A prevailing tradewind blows from left to right putting a premium on the tee shot with bunkers guarding most of the hole. “Par is considered a great score on the three-tiered green.”
Rio Mar is challenging but not impossible for novices and absolutely full of Puerto Rican flavor.
