If, when you launched the application for the first time, you have not allowed Mobitee to know your location, please go to ‘Location Services’ within your iPhone’s General Settings, and turn ON the radio button for Mobitee. For best satellite coverage, you must be outdoors in an open space. The flashing color of the distances box indicates the strength of the satellite’s coverage: • Red flashes indicate that, at your location, the application is not receiving enough satellite coverage to provide accurate data. • Orange flashes indicate fair reception from the satellites• Green flashes indicate maximum reception. Why does Mobitee not provide any satellite view for SOME golf courses?
The aerial views for these golf courses are not up to date or of inferior quality on the satellite. For these golf courses, we unfortunately cannot provide any satellite view or distances in the application.
As soon as the satellite quality for these courses improves, we will put up their aerial views. In the meanwhile, the score card for these golf courses remain available.
The application takes a long time to load golf courses and satellite views:
Make sure to have a strong Internet connection to ensure that golf courses and satellite views load quickly. We recommend that you load your golf course from a Wi-Fi connection. It might be wise to do this before getting on the golf course, that is, loading it wherever you have access to a Wi-Fi connection.
I see a black screen instead of the satellite view of the golf course:
In case this happens, you can: • Return to the home screen and reload the list of golf courses.• Load the golf course and satellite from a strong Wi-Fi connection• Restart the application.• Restart your iPhone.• Use a better internet connection• If you are still having difficulties, please let us know here. How do I save my strokes?
Use the Shot Tracking feature on the main screen:Use the red icon at the bottom-left corner of the screen to record your shot, and use the ‘play’ button (three buttons higher on the screen) to see all your hits. A yellow star will indicate your best hit. Will my battery last enough to play 18 holes?
Using the following recommendations, your battery should last enough to play 18 holes: • Since the GPS uses a large amount of your battery, it would be wise to start your game with a full charge.• Once you download your course, we recommend that you turn off the 3G on your iPhone. We also advise you to turn off your Bluetooth option, and to use Sleep Mode whenever you are not using your phone.• To avoid worrying about all these little things, the best solution would be to get a battery shell. The application tells me that the Satellite View will be available soon, but when exactly?
The Satellite View needs to be generated, a process that normally takes no more than a few hours. Please check the golf course list regularly to get the latest satellite view available.
How do I reload the satellite view and distances?
Touch the distances box at the top-left of the screen.
The range finder does not display correct distances:
The range finder needs to load the GPS and Compass to provide accurate data. This typically takes less than 5 minutes.
Does Mobitee work on my iPod Touch?
The iPod Touch does not have a GPS feature. Therefore, the app’s functions will be limited, since you won’t get your distance away from the green.
Do you plan on featuring statistics in your app?
Yes, they will be available later this year.
